How dateable are you?

If you've ever wondered why you may be finding it difficult to find your perfect match, it may be time to analyze what it is you are offering. It can be easy to get caught up in the hunt for the perfect partner and put all our focus into what it is that we want. However, it is important to look at what it is that you are offering. Here are a few ideas to get you started on the track of self reflection and make sure you're compatible with the type of person you are looking for.
Are you happy?
People pick up on unconscious thoughts. If you're not happy, it is pretty safe to say you are permeating the air with negativity and general unhappiness. No one likes hanging around a sad sack for too long. Find out what would really make you happy, and set your goals towards getting happy. Positivity is a people magnet. If you are oozing positivity and energy you'll find people will go out of their way to be around you. With more people interested in you, your chances of finding Mr/Miss Right are boosted.
Do you still hang onto the "ex"?
What's done is done. There is no point living in the past and reflecting on past burns. If you want a potential partner to remain interested, don't give off signs that you're still emotionally committed. The problem with always bringing up the topic of an ex, even in a negative way is that it brings a third partner to a new relationship. Its not just you and your new potential squeeze. Its you, the new squeeze and the ex. Any potential partner is going to get the vibe that you have issues and will be put off by the continual discussion of an ex. Sometimes it is easier to cling to the past than to face what is right in front of you. Don't let thoughts of an ex hold you back from enjoying your future.
Do you know what went wrong in your past relationship(s)?
The first step to overcoming a problem is to realize there is one. If you haven't already, take an objective look at your past relationships and find out how you contributed to their demise. Use failed relationships in a positive way and learn from past mistakes.
Do you have future aspirations, aims or goals? What do you want for your future?
A dream is an aspiration for something greater than you have now. Whatever your dreams and goals are to you, it is important to have them, and have plans to achieve them. A person who is trying to achieve a goal or dream is showing that they are willing to grow as a person. It can also show your ability to make something happen for yourself and possibly for a potential partner.
