Getting married to get residency in Australia

If you're skeptical about love and marriage, it's easy to find reasons to justify your cynicism. Scientists are always coming up with new theories, from love being temporary, to love being subdued by chocolate. Who needs it? What's love got to do with it?


On the other hand, perhaps you love Australia, but you're an international visitor. You'd like to stay here, but you can't be bothered to study here and get a permanent residency through official means.

No worries, mate - just find an Australian to get married to. If you're a woman, pay this dude and you can get married, no questions asked.


Oooh, ladies, he's 6'1"... he could be your dream man. Plus, he's taking on bidders, which is a sign of an entrepreneurial nature. Wait, what's this:

"Please send photo and information with email and I will send photo back."

Photo? Wait a minute - is this guy expecting to consummate the wedding? He's going to pick the prettiest girl, take her money and then have sex with her? He's on the verge of winning a Noble Peace Prize.
