How to get noticed by Guys
August 24th 2006 00:11
Why is it that some women seem to have absolutely no trouble in attracting the attention of the opposite sex? No sooner does a relationship end it seems men are falling over themselves to be next in line. One of my friends is a pro at attracting the attention of males. She’s followed around by a throng of men who are totally besotted by her. The funny thing is that she doesn’t seem to notice. All the attention just glides right past her. Which is a good thing because if she was one of those girls that jerked around guys for self gratification I’d probably slap her. I donno, but in my book there is nothing worst than a cock tease.
So I thought I try and figure out exactly what it is that makes Jane such a stunning creature in the eyes of men. We sat down over coffee and dissected the situation. It was somewhat awkward for Jane who is hopelessly modest. Nonetheless we made some progress and these are the results of our discussion.
Personality wise Jane is very tuned in to the male mind. She’s definitely not a tomboy but she’s not the stereotypical weak girly type either. When it comes time to party she’ll party and party hard. She’s experimented with a range of recreational drugs and is surprisingly good at keeping up with the boys when it comes down to knocking back the drinks. She likes rock and underground dance music but not in a “wow, I’m so cool and alternative kind of way.”
Jane is not terribly worried about her body image and will eat just about anything with gusto. Infact, her favourite meal is steak with a side serving of steak. You won’t hear Jane bitching about the size of her arse or Nick Lachey’s latest squeeze. Instead you’ll be more likely to be involved in either some intellectual debate about peace treaties or great wild sex. The topic of conversation really depends on if it is recovery Sunday morning brunch or the midweek catch-up.
This is not to say that all men are only interested in sex drugs and rock’n’roll. However, I do think Jane has more male orientated interests than most typical women. She knows music, sex, current affairs and has the wild, edgy streak that stimulates men. The flip side is that she’s not at all tomboy-ish. She wears the tight clothes, plunging necklines and isn’t into running about on the footy field or watching pro boxing bouts. Jane has the perfect personality to both relate to and connect with males in an intellectual level without developing into a platonic relationship by been too masculine.
The crux of the attraction is that she is a strong character. Jane knows what she wants, what she does and doesn’t like and is especially blunt in expressing her opinion. No tiptoeing around subjects, she’ll go for the jugular and say exactly what she thinks of something regardless of anyone else’s opinion. The strength and confidence is what is very appealing and conversational helps Jane draw men towards her.

I wonder if the reverse model of Jane would be as successful for guys? So if a guy knew more about girls topics, ideas concerning their image, gossiped more, etc would he equally seen to be as attractive to girls?
I don't think so, but maybe I'm doing something wrong!

I totally agree with everything you've said... maybe because that is exactly what I look for in a girl. She seems down to earth and very balanced. In the same time she is also easy on the eyes..
This of courwse according to your descriptions.

Australian Al is way more into sport and visual arts than Jane. Janes more into music than Alex and can play just about any instrument. Jane's also a giraffe. However both are confident, goodlooking girls that are definately on the same page.
I take it you know Al?
