Tips for perfecting a great kiss

Yesterday I laid some groundwork for a great kiss and covered some of the aspects that turn a good kiss sour. Today I’ll look at some of the brighter points that convert a good kiss into a great kiss. If there’s one thing from this post let it be;
“Kissing is like creating music”
Creating a great kiss is like collaborating on a great musical composition. There’s a tempo, rhythm and a certain groove to every kiss. And just as the tempo and rhythm of a song is dynamic, so too is a kiss. It’ll flow, they’ll be split seconds of intensity, dominance, submission, calm, lust… it is always changing. If you’re kissing to one beat and your partner’s kissing to another, the kiss going to turn out all wrong. In much the same why that music can evoke emotions and express ideas without words, so to does a kiss. If you want to break it down, it’s just another way of communicating with someone. You’re using tactile sensations to let someone know what’s going on in your mind.
If you happen to be starting out, you’re not too sure what you’re doing or you’re a little shy the best tactic is the mimic the moves of your kissing partner. There is no greater compliment than imitation. That’ll get things heading in the right direction. Inhibitions should be stowed safely in the overhead compartment - no room for feelings of self consciousness in a great kiss. There’s no golden formula for kissing. If you tap into your feelings for the opposite person, you will be guaranteed to be doing it right. Stress less about what you should be doing and what goes where. Instead go with your instincts.
Now we tackle the two elements of effective communication. Listening and having your say. As you are kissing you have to listen to what signals your partner is giving and respond accordingly. It’s this listen and response tactile discussion that drives the tempo of the kiss. Feel what your partner is projecting through the way that they are kissing you and respond accordingly. They might be dominant, teasing, lustful. Take it in and decide how you want to respond.
If someone is teasing you they are enticing you to jump in for the kill. A solid lusty response would be a good call. Alternatively you could call their bluff and respond in a teasing fashion also. In this case the kiss becomes this game of testing to see who will break first – a slow crescendo that builds with momentum. However you respond to your partners signals, as long as it comes from your own desires and feelings rather than a automated response, you can’t go wrong.
The element of suggestion is also a good element to add into a kiss. It becomes tiresome if you let your partner always initiate in a kiss. Mix things up and throw in your own curve ball. If you feel the tempo rising you can try and pull things back. Draw back and adopt some lighter or slower kissing. Kissing is an opportunity to test the waters. Try out a bit of dominance and submission with your style. As a form of harmless fun, mix it up, keep the variety going and you’ll be an expert in no time.
