Horny Goat Weed, Viagra and all those other supplements

The boys were pretty testy at work last week and the topic of Viagra became the subject of the afternoon trash talk to get us through to the 5 o’clock bell. These are all healthy, sexual functional men in their late 20s to late 30’s. Despite the fact that none of them had any impotence or erectile dysfunction, all of them had used and loved Viagra.
They qualified the revelation by saying that it was not an everyday thing. Apparently, it’s just a way to upgrade to a full weapons grade arsenal as they so eloquently put it. A way of, “showing the wife which side her bread is buttered on.’ I was somewhat stunned by this new knowledge. I had always just associated Viagra with seedy old men and the unfortunate souls who were having difficulty with the olde boy. The idea of introducing it to a perfectly functioning member had never really crossed my mind. Afterall, if it ain’t broke why fix it.
According to the office boys Viagra gives an additional boost. Biologically men reach their sexual peak in their early 20s, the Viagra is a chance to re-live those feverous days with the added benefit of experience and self control. An experience likened to having all your Christmas’ come at once. By the reports it sounds like an excellent power boost although, I did wonder if there were any long term detrimental effects of using Viagra when it wasn’t really necessary. Could it lead to future erectile dysfunction or dependence. I’m not sure and it is an issue that should be raised with a healthcare professional for any young stallions who are now chomping at the bit to give the wonder drug a whirl.
I must say, I feel somewhat cheated that all these guys can ramp up their prowess with the gulp of a pill. Like these co-workers my sex drive is perfectly healthy, if anything a little high. I was curious with what a Viagra-like supplement could do for me. Curiosity got the better of me and I made a trip to the local chemist over the weekend to see what over the counter boosters I could give a buzz.
Strangely there isn’t a huge market for women’s sex drive supplements. I wasn’t expecting any high weapons grade scorching material – how hardcore can over the counter supplements legally get. Still the products looked pretty damn lame. Most were just marketed as general energy boosters, I don’t know if this is because women feel too self conscious about purchasing sex drive enhancements or there just isn’t a real world market.
After some perusing I settled on some pathetically labeled bottle of Passion Rx. There’s a veritable cocktail of libido enhancing herbs and spices in these pills. It sort of reminds me of the Colonel’s secret recipe. According to the instructions it takes 3 to 5 days before I’ll start feeling the effects. Its day two and I can’t say anything beyond the usual has happened. Still, I haven’t felt any detrimental effects from the exhaustive list of side effects listed in the user’s manual so if I can at least try to emulate these Viagra boosting experiences.
Anyone out there with a normal sex drive tried to supersize their libidos with a prescribed or over the counter supplement? What were the results?
