More Signs to Tell if He Likes You
August 11th 2006 00:38
Back by popular demand, some more signs to decipher what that handsome stud in front of you really thinks about you. Start with the first three tips which can be found here.
4) He’s relaxed and comfortable.
Have a good look at the way he is sitting or standing and interacting with you. Check to see if he looks comfortable in your presence or is looking about for the slightest distraction to excuse himself. Body language such as crossed arms, a stiff posture and little eye contact is a sure sign that he’s not expressing an open style of body language. When people are in an engaging interaction their body language will naturally reflect how they are thinking. Their eyes might brighten up, their shoulders will relax slightly, they’ll turn their body towards you. If they’re really involved in the conversation they’ll probably open up with some gesturing and may venture into your personal space. Relaxed and open body language is a very good way of reading what is on someone’s mind.
5) The conversation is flowing.
Half the challenge of clicking with someone goes beyond the physical attraction. After the meet and great you can get a good indication of someone’s overall impression of you based on the conversation that you’re having. A free flowing conversation with plenty of back and forth verbatim is a sign that you’re both getting along on a personal level. If you’re conversing about similar interests or comparing different experiences then that’s a sign you’re off to a good start. Generally, if someone is enquiring about you and your interests it is because they want to get to know you better because they’ve been sparked by an initial interest. The subject of conversation can lead to a good insight into what someone is thinking about you. Are they self absorbed in their topics or are they interacting in a way to get to know you better?
6) They are mirroring your behaviour.
When it comes to mimicking behaviour, the theory goes that we are attracted to people who are like ourselves. So someone who is either consciously or sub-consciously mimicking your behaviour is sending a message that they are interested in you. Someone how mirrors your behaviour is simply doing whatever it is that you may be doing. If you lean forward to speak, they’ll lean forward to meet you. If you sit back to take a sip of your drink and look you in the eye, they’ll pause then follow suit. Pay attention to any gestures you make and see if they are being mirrored. Of course, don’t do anything ridiculous. Picking your nose is not likely to positively mirrored nor score a second date.

The average uni student
I'm somewhat new to a ralationship, and my guy isn't that great at expressing himself, so I may be watching out for some of these body language signals instead.
Thanks!
