Common mistakes made with online dating

These days you seldom meet a single person who never tried online dating, even if its just for a bit of curious fun. Its a pretty common way for busy people to meet other likemided singles and provided you play your cards right it can be a damn succussful way of getting to know a whole host of new friends or potential love interests.
Some people have the whole online dating thing down to a tee, others are a little more online personals challenged. These are a few common mistakes I've seen on online dating sites which are a guaranteed way of dropping your online dating success or attracting the wrong type of attention.
1. Choose a sleazy or really bad username
Dating sites usually display your user name in your personal profile. So, if you choose something like "hot_n_hard" or "Doggie_Stylz", you are sure to leave a bad impression. That is if you are looking for something more than just a banging good time.
2. Don't have any partner requirements
Your requirements for a partner actual says a lot about you and the type of person that you are looking for. Don't think that leaving your partner requirements as blank will leave the door open to more opertunities. If you do not have any requirements for a partner, you will sound absolutely desperate. Think about what it is that you are looking for in a partner. Surely there are some things you'd have a preference over. Remember, no one is attracted to desperate people so for godsake put down some criteria.
3. Not including a photo
Ok so a photo makes the who experience personal and suddenly you feel completely outed and exposed to all your friends, family and collegues. To be honest, the vast majority of your friends and family would probably never stumble across your profile and if they do, the question must be begged, what are THEY doing skimming through personals advertisements? Many personals sites will give preference to users that upload photos. You chances of getting founded my Mr/Mrs Right are far greater if you're at the top of the personals pile. Plus, people are far more likely to respond to your advert if you include a photo.
