Last night I found myself snuggling up and having a Sunday movie night in with a couple friends. It's inspired me to go in search of the top romantic movies of all time as voted by the general public.
According to IMDb the top 10 rated romance titles ever produced are;
1. Casablanca (1942)
2. Lage Raho Munnabhai (2006)
3. Sunset Blvd. (1950)
4. It's a Wonderful Life (1946)
5. Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, Le (2001)
6. Vertigo (1958)
7. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
8. Metropolis (1927)
9. Safety Last! (1923)
10.Modern Times (1936)
The Go Romance has listed the top romance movies guys dig;
1. American Pie
2. As Good As It Gets
3. Blast From The Past
4. Blue Lagoon
5. The Bodyguard
6. Boomerang
7. Bounce
8. Broadcast News
9. Bridget Jones' Diary
10. Bull Durham
Donno, whether the majority of guys would watch some of those movies is questionable. In fact, anyone that can get through The Bodyguard deserves some sort or award. It would have to list one one of my all time most horrible movies ever created.
Finally, So You Wanna weighs into the debate with their suggestions of the all time best romance flicks;
