In Romania, a man has cashed in his wife to a creditor. Apparently the Romania man was in edbt and had no way of paying his debt..
The Romania husband, Emil Iancu hand over his wife Daniela to a 72-year-old Jozef Justien Lostrie in exchange for a $4400 debt.
Iancu said: "I had no money to pay the debt and when I told Lostrie he said he would take my wife instead.
"I was scared of what he would do and so I signed a document saying Daniela would live with him."
One might assume Daniela to be somewhat peeved with this forced negotiation of living and relationship arrangement. At no point did Emil consult his wife in this bizarre method of debt payment. Never the less, it seems the wife trade was a blessing for Daniela.
"Before I had to clean the house and look after our three children on my own, while Emil did nothing, but now I'm treated like a guest and hardly have to raise a finger," she said.
