Half the battle with the singles game is getting out and meeting fresh new faces and singles. Most singles tend to trawl through the nightlife scene in the hope of drunkenly stumbling across the love of their life. If you're wanting to break the singles runt a really great way of going about it is to enrol in a fresh course. Not only will you pick up new skills or dedicate some time to an activity you really enjoy, you never know who you may meet. Here are some ideas for meeting other singles.
1. Try a wine course
Not only will you get to know the difference between a Chardonnay and a Chenin Blanc you're bound to meet a few worldly refined tipplers like yourself. A wine course will always provide value for money and give you great practical knowledge for showcasing your wine selection flare on your next date.
2. Learn how to play golf
The great thing about golf is that its a sport that can be played for years unlike more physically demanding pursuits. This enables you to refine your skills over years and decades of practice. Diligent part time sessions on the greens and you'll be a Tiger Woods by the time your a grandparent. In terms of meet people of the opposite sex, golf is a great option as it is a unisex game. Challenging a new date to a game of golf would probably be a far better option than inviting them to a spot of rugby union.
3. Get into literature
Universities will often offer literature courses inbetween teaching semesters. Community colleges are another way of enrolling into literature studies. Whether you're interersted in studying others literary works or want to get a push into creating your own masterpieces a course in literature is just the ticket to get the ball rolling. Literature courses tend to be quite interactive so there will be plenty of oppertunity to meet other people. There may even be some oppertunities for group or partner homework assignments. Scheduling some time to disect the finer points of Shakespeare might just be the perfect way of initiating a coffee date.
