Using Craigslist to find anonymous NSA sexual encounters just got a helluva lot easier!

The internet brings people together, as we all know, but its most addictive tool is the ease at which sexual desires can be satisfied without getting up from your chair.
Pornography is seconds away from your fingertips, either in image or video form and there's even a rule on the internet, called Rule 34, which says
Online dating has made things easier, but for the REALLY lazy, there's a little game called Craigslist Casual Encounters.
It's a section in the personal ads on Craigslist, where people post for no-strings-attached (NSA) sexual encounters. Typically, the posters are male and yes, they often sound desperate and repulsive.
Craigslist is not that popular in Australia, it seems, but even a cursory glance at the Casual Encounters section shows that there are plenty of men out there, looking to hook up with women, and other men.
Still, it can all get a bit much... in the US, where Craigslist is hugely popular, the listings can span pages and pages. That's why Josh Liptzin decided to suck up the Craigslist data and mash it up with Google maps. The end result is a map of where anonymous sex can be found in your city.
It's called Hookupmaps, and it's yet another way to do less work to find sex.
No, it's not available for Australia yet. Calm down, Tonto.
Liptzin talks about his little project:

"Generally accepted internet rule that states that pornography or sexually related material exists for any conceivable subject. "

"Liptzin says that since launching his mashup Friday, he's seen more than 10,000 visitors to the site. And they aren't all curious voyeurs.
"A good part of the traffic is returning for multiple visits," said Liptzin. The return rate suggests that people are putting the mashup to good use.
While Liptzin is considering branching out into other regions of Craiglist to create similar mashups, for now, he's keeping a close eye on hookupmaps."
